New Zealand skin clinic group to open in London
A New Zealand skin clinic chain is coming to London this spring.
Skinsmiths, which has 50 clinics in New Zealand, will open three branches in west London, one this month and two in April.
Treatments include microneedling, microdermabrasion, a detox facial and fractional CO2 laser. Skinsmiths also offers laser hair removal and light therapy.
Skinsmiths’s model focuses purely on delivering results-driven skincare and offers membership or “skin health” plans to encourage clients to visit the clinics for regular skin maintenance appointments.
There are three plans: Reformaskin, a course of treatments to treat uneven tone, texture and pigmentation; Amerase, an aesthetic medicine plan with optional dermal filler add-ons; and Freedom, the clinic’s laser hair removal membership.
A “payment by subscription” model is also available to make paying for treatments more affordable. All clinics offer free consultations.
The first three UK clinics will be in Hanwell (opening this month), Belgravia and Putney (opening in April) and the company, owned by the FAB Group, has plans to open 40 in total in England over the next two years.
“Somewhat surprisingly, London is underserved by the appearance medicine industry and this presents a significant opportunity for FAB Group. We have a pipeline of other sites in London we are doing due diligence on.
“Some will be acquisitions of existing clinics and others we will build. This marks the start of a multimillion dollar investment the group plans to make to support the opening of 40 clinics,” commented Skinsmiths founder Jackie Smith.
