Skincare specialist rewards its clients with £62,000 worth of free treatments
Therapists up and down the country have been treated to a ‘fee’ free day of treatments courtesy of the UK’s leading provider of microdermabrasion facials.
SkinBase recently won the ‘Best Advanced Treatment’ category at the 2018 National Beauty Awards and celebrated by providing salons with over £62,000 worth of facials, including intense pulsed light (IPL) and radio frequency treatments.
The event was so popular, with salons and their customers, that treatments were still taking place late into the evening with an average of seven treatments per minute still taking place at 9pm. The last recorded facial took place at 11:56pm and rounded off over 5,000 treatments across the course of the day.
SkinBase owner, Richard Faulkner said: “Our free treatment day was an incredible success and a great way of us showcasing our full range of products to women and men of all ages. We work with more than 2,000 accredited salons across the UK and Ireland and they all played their part, giving free treatments to help stimulate the production of collagen and improve the condition of the skin’s surface for a range of customers.”
Microdermabrasion, which is a non-surgical method of skin rejuvenation, was the most popular treatment of the day. The convenient and painless facial immediately restores the skin, leaving clients with a younger, smoother complexion without the need for chemicals, lasers or Botox.
Richard continued: “We chose to offer the complimentary day so salons we work with could introduce new customers to our products and also thank existing customers for their loyalty and support. It was unbelievably popular with the therapists, who on the day saw a number of people opting to book a full course due to their instant results!

A family-run company, SkinBase was set up by brother and sister duo, Richard Faulkner and Leesa Keys on their mother’s kitchen table and recently celebrated its 13th year of business. Operating from their head office in Talke, they provide equipment and training to around 2,000 accredited salons and spas throughout the UK and Ireland.
