The UK provider of aesthetic and dermatology treatments enters Belfast with £500,000 investment and full treatment portfolio.
Leading dermatology and aesthetic treatment provider Sk:n Clinics is set to open its first clinic in Northern Ireland, with a new flagship location in Belfast city centre scheduled to launch in July 2025.
The new Belfast aesthetic clinic, located at The Vantage on Great Victoria Street, marks a major milestone for the brand’s UK-wide expansion.
With close to 40 clinics already established across the UK, this new opening reflects Sk:n's strategic focus on broadening access to medical-grade skin and aesthetic treatments.
Belfast clinic to offer full range of medical aesthetic and dermatology services
The Sk:n Belfast clinic will provide the group’s complete treatment offering, including:
- Doctor-led dermatology services
- Mole checks and removal
- Advanced injectables and anti-ageing treatments
- Skin rejuvenation treatments
- Laser hair removal
- Tattoo removal
- Nurse and practitioner-led aesthetic procedures
- IV wellness therapy
- Premium, medical-grade skincare products
The new facility aims to support both the private pay aesthetic market and demand for accessible dermatology care in the region.
With a £500,000 investment, the launch will also create new job opportunities and contribute to easing NHS dermatology wait times in Northern Ireland.
Strategic expansion under new ownership
The Belfast clinic will also house Optical Express, a leading eye care provider and sister company to Sk:n.
Both brands are part of Lorena Investments, which operates over 130 hospitals and clinics across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Lorena Investments recently acquired Sk:n Clinics as part of a strategic expansion into aesthetic and dermatological healthcare.
The co-location of the two medical providers under one roof is intended to offer integrated, trusted healthcare services to the Belfast community.
Leadership and clinical focus
The new clinic will be led by senior manager Christine McMurray and staffed by a team of experienced practitioners, nurses, and doctors.
David Moulsdale, chairman and chief executive of Sk:n Clinics, commented, “We are incredibly proud to be opening our first clinic in Northern Ireland.
“Belfast is a vibrant and forward-thinking city, and we’re thrilled to be bringing sk:n’s medical-grade treatments and trusted expertise to the community here.
“Our investment reflects our long-term commitment to improving skin health and accessibility to dermatological care across the UK.”
Dr Stephen Hannan, clinical services director at Sk:n and its sister companies, added, “The opening of our Belfast clinic represents a meaningful step forward in making expert-led dermatology and aesthetic services more accessible in Northern Ireland.
“At sk:n, clinical excellence is at the heart of everything we do.”
The clinic’s introduction aligns with ongoing growth in demand for medically-led aesthetic services, and underscores the importance of regulated, high-quality treatments within the evolving UK aesthetics landscape.
