Sponsored News: Are you starting to plan for life after lockdown?

Struggling with policies, PPE, templates, checklists, access to training sources and guidance to ensure that your clinic is ready to re-open? HydraFacial can help…

As the UK starts to see a little light at the end of the tunnel, it is only reasonable for us to begin contemplating what life outside of lock down might look like.

However, we are also hearing a lot about the so-called “new normal” that we are going to have to live with for some months to come.

Of course, what we don’t know yet is what that “new normal” might actually mean in practice. And so, we find ourselves asking some important questions, such as…

  •           What restrictions will remain in place?
  •           What exactly will they mean for my business?
  •           What do I need to do, buy or plan for, in order to be able to re-open?
  •           How will I have to adapt my working practice?
  •           Am I ready for any of this?

Unfortunately, until the Government announces when restrictions will start to ease, how they are going to ease and in what form, the truth is that right now, nobody can answer any of those questions with absolute certainty.

However, one thing we can say with a high degree of confidence is that restrictions will not simply disappear overnight, and the aesthetic industry will be facing a unique set of challenges to bring our businesses back to life.

New rules, polices, best practice behaviours and of course the use of PPE, are likely to dominate our working lives for many months to come. So, what MIGHT that mean for us all?

HydraFacial UK has been working with The Consulting Room and leading industry groups, clinics and experts to support the creation of a FREE Covid-19 Resources Centre to help clinic owners at this time.

It’s there to reduce the time taken to research, and get access to, practical tools that will help you. This includes guidance on the important documentation of the risk assessment process - to ensure that you provide a safe working environment for staff and patients – in an industry where social distancing is not possible.

This is not a simple process when there are many areas of debate specific to our industry - that most companies who deal with generic health and safety advice may not fully understand. In addition, risk assessments are specific to individual physical environments and bespoke to the different treatment menus that you may offer.

Staff and customers will expect you to have carefully researched and created appropriate policies, amended existing procedures where appropriate and have provided access to certified training and PPE (that conforms to UK standards) before they begin trading.

As a leader in your business, you will require knowledge a deep understanding of the issues involved to instil confidence in both your team and your customers… as they will have many questions!

HydraFacial, in partnership with Consulting Room, has spearheaded the compilation of a detailed FREE resource containing webinars, industry body guidance, shared protocols from clinics, templates for client communication, advice on consent, access to Covid-19 certificated training resources and much more - in a brand new and regularly updated resources portal.
