The Skn Group, owners of ABC Medical, sk:n, The Harley Medical Group, Skinbrands and The Skin Experts, has ceased trading.

In a statement posted on its website today (July 17), the company said:

“It is with regret that we advise that the Skn Group, including sk:n, The Harley Medical Group, Skinbrands, The Skin Experts and ABC Medical has ceased trading as of July 17. The Mole Clinic is a separate part of the group and continues to trade as normal.

“The company has undertaken an extensive process to secure investment to enable it to continue to trading, but sadly we have been unsuccessful.

“We recognise that this outcome will have a significant impact on our team members and customers, and we are deeply sorry for the stress and inconvenience this has caused. We are doing all we can to address the concerns of those affected. We will be contacting all clients still awaiting test results as soon as possible. All further updates will be provided on this website as and when available.”

Skinbrands is a distributor of professional product brands including Epionce, Medik8 and Grande Cosmetics.

Sk:n runs more than 60 aesthetics clinics across the UK with over 450 consultant doctors, nurses and medical practitioners.

Aesthetic Medicine has approached Skn Group for comment.

Sk:n's public relations agency Kendrick PR said in a statement, "Unfortunately at this time we have no information for the press and patients who are understandably reaching out to us wanting clarity on the situation.”
