Treatment review: Scarlet RF

Updated on 18th Mar 2025

Sales manager Lisa Merrigan visited Este Medical in Kensington for a Scarlet RF treatment.

The lowdown

The Scarlet RF device is a machine from Este Medical Group that uses fractional radio frequency technology to stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin.

By effectively targeting sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles, the non-invasive treatment promotes a more youthful and lifted appearance.

The experience

On a very wet and cold Saturday morning in February, I made my way to Este Medical in Kensington.

Nestled in a mews-style street, the clinic offers a huge range of treatments including skin, body, face, hair and plastic surgery.

On arrival, I was greeted by the managing director, Zubeyir Cinkir, who told me all about the clinic over a coffee.

I was then taken to my treatment room for my non-surgical facelift using the Scarlet RF Microneedling device which they’ve aptly nicknamed “Magic Needles”.

The treatment was performed by the lovely who talked me through every step and after my numbing cream had kicked in, we began.

The treatment was fairly comfortable and the machine was directed at my specific areas of concern – lower face and neck area.

The Scarlett RF machine focuses on adding density back into your skin, increasing collagen production with the aim of giving you firmer skin.

Using short pulses of radio frequency, it is meant to help with sagging jowls, acne scars, wrinkles and sun damage.

After an hour of treatment, Irina was done and talked me through the aftercare.

The verdict

I made my way home with a slightly red face and neck which went down within a few hours.

Nearly a month later, I'm still getting compliments on my skin and I feel that the Magic Needles have made a distinct difference.
