Treatments You Can Trust accredited by the Professional Standards Authority

The register of Treatments You Can Trust has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, an independent statutory body, accountable to Parliament.

Under the Accredited Registers programme, practitioners on the Treatments You Can Trust (TYCT) register will be able to display the Accredited Register quality mark, a sign that they belong to a register which meets the Professional Standards Authority’s robust standards.

TYCT’s chair, Baroness Morris of Bolton said, "This accreditation is a significant advance in patient confidence in cosmetic injectable treatments. Since 2010, Treatments You Can Trust has pioneered the registration of doctors, dentists and registered nurses who practice injectable cosmetic treatments and who meet our robust standards.

It is appropriate that the Treatments You Can Trust Register has now been assessed and accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under its Accredited Registers programme. People now have the option of choosing injectable cosmetic practitioners from a register that itself has been stringently vetted and approved and I am delighted that Treatments You Can Trust has received this accreditation and welcome the resulting public benefits.”

Harry Cayton, chief executive of the PSA added, “We are very pleased to accredit Treatment You Can Trust’s register. Bringing these practitioners into a broad framework of assurance is good for patients, service users and the public and is the best way to promote quality. The programme offers a new layer of protection for people receiving health services, and gives non-surgical cosmetic practitioners the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to good practice.”
