Tributes pour in for Kevin Moore

Tributes have poured in on social media after the tragic news that Kevin Moore from Skinbrands had passed away after a short, brave battle against cancer.

The 48-year-old who lived in Glasgow with his husband Ian and three dogs known as “The Three Amigos”, had worked in the beauty industry for more than 25 years. His career began as a make-up artist after a chance meeting on the set of Taggart, with a TV and film make-up artist and casting director Irene Napier. As Kevin himself said, “This gave me the opportunity to work on TV myself and see what the power of make-up could be."

He went on to work for brands such as The Body Shop and Aveda where he worked as a make-up artist with many celebrities including Kylie Minogue for the Brit Awards and Geri Halliwell for the Spice Girls Tour Launch.

Kevin joined Skinbrands in 2007 as a Business Development Manager but had previously worked with the founders and original team back in 2001, where he worked with brands like md formulations and bare minerals and even went on air with QVC to help spread the mineral revolution.

Friends posted heartfelt tributes on social media following the sad news.

“The earth has lost a beautiful soul” one friend wrote while others spoke of how they would miss his fun loving nature and sparkling personality.

Amanda Coveney, managing director of Skinbrands said, “Kevin was a dear friend and colleague. He was a valued member of the Skinbrands team with an amazing and infectious passion for his work. A huge personality with a great sense of humour, he will be deeply missed by all. Our hearts and prayers go out to Kevin’s husband Ian and his family and friends at this time.”
