Aesthetic Medicine Live are delighted to partner up with the UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS), Consortium of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery clinic owners (CAPSCO) endorsed by International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), to host their annual conference at AM Live 2022.

UKAAPS/CAPSCO is the first organization in the country which represents all the aesthetic plastic surgeons in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The organization includes people from ISAPS, UKAAPS, BAAPS, BAPRAS, and everybody who is practising aesthetic plastic surgeon in the country. 

Come, meet and network with fellow professionals to discuss industry challenges, business ideas and solutions as well as educate yourself on industry topics and the latest trends in the aesthetic surgery field.

UKAAPS/CAPSCO conference at AM Live 2022 has been reviewed by the Educational Council and it is officially Endorsed by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).

the conference is for medical only will start on 20th May at 9 am with a debate on the level of importance of the certification process of recognising surgeons who have the appropriate training, qualifications and to what extent the certificate scheme makes a difference in protecting against the potential risks from cosmetic procedures.

Hosted by Shailesh Vadodaria, CAPSCO & UKAAPS president, the morning agenda will feature talks on topics such as past, present and future of cosmetic surgery (Shanks Sankar), teaching and training (Alastair Platt). In the afternoon, sessions will focus on facial aesthetics. Speakers will discuss approaches to possible challenges in facial aesthetics as well as teach the latest facial aesthetic techniques to deliver the highest quality of service to your clients (Daniel Saleh, Taimur Shoaib). Moreover, learn about recent trends in Gynecomastia SurgeryMen at Shailesh Vadodaria and Nora Nugent's sessions. Learn how men are equally mindful about how they look as women. The level of body awareness is becoming more important, resulting in a massive increase in requests for Gynecomastia surgery. Speakers will discuss complications of the surgery and provide insights from a post-substantial weight loss point of view, a non-plastic surgery and an endocrinological point of view. Lastly, the final session of the first day at AM Live will be "Avoiding Complaints and Courts in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Practice". Jonathan Britto and Shanks Sankar will provide a legal perspective on aesthetic plastic surgery practice to surgeons. All the safety precautions a plastic surgeon needs to know to avoid complaints and legal action. 

Day two will see a focus on breast aesthetics, facial aesthetics, and genital aesthetics.

The first session of the day is chaired by James McDiarmid, Taimur Shoaib and features speakers such as Prof. James Frame, Patrick Mallucci, Adrian Richards, Jagdeep Chana, Peter Cranstone, Tracy Sell, Ms Alison Thornberry and Sailesh Mehta. This session will focus on exploring the impact of product liability on aesthetic surgery practice relating to Allergan and PIP breast implants. Speakers will share their own experiences and how they are tackling the issues by introducing the dynamics of product liability from a legal perspective at the end of this session. In the afternoon session of the second day of the show, speakers will introduce the range of treatments of facial aesthetics from anatomy, upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, lip lift, neck lift, different kinds of a face lift, and a functional aspect of blepharoplasty by involving an ophthalmic surgeon. 

The conference will close with a session focused on genital aesthetics, from surgical anatomy, and indications to protocol and techniques. Later we discuss the development of guidelines on genital aesthetics and the Do's and Don'ts to avoid complaints and regulatory issues. The session will include talks on Aesthetic surgical anatomy (Hagen Schumacher), Indications (James McDiarmid), protocol (Vivek Sivarajan), Techniques (Shailesh Vadodaria), Anaesthetics (Nora Nugent), Consent (Joanne Staphnill), Gynaecological perspective (Paul Banwell), Issues related to ethics and genital mutilation (Dr Joanna Woodger), complaints, litigations and regulatory issues (Ms Erika Manzo), the need for national audit (Ms Shirin Lakhani), development of guidelines (Ms Maria Duncan).

The conference is free is free to attend for UKAAPS/CAPSCO members & presenters, Conference Delegate Friday and Saturday, and Conference Delegate 2 day ticket holders. For non- members, ticket price will be:
