Wright Initiative launches PaPPS Accreditation

Clinics and practitioners offering patients psycho-emotional support alongside aesthetic treatments could now be accredited thanks to a new scheme being launched by The Wright Initiative. Norman Wright, founder of The Wright Initiative, devised the PaPPS Accreditation in response to an increased demand for psychological evaluation of patients in the post-Keogh environment. He said, “The recent PIP scandal and the Keogh report highlighted the importance of correctly nurturing this relationship. PaPPS Accreditation aims to support everyone within the industry to improve patient care and safety.” PaPPS Accreditation will provide a framework for continuing educational development, it will accredit and publicise surgeons, nurses and clinics who have achieved the standards of practice required to enter the PaPPS register and will monitor standards of good practice in supporting aesthetic and cosmetic patients. The scheme went live on Tuesday April 2, 2014.
