3D-Lipo launches 3D-HIFU

3D-HIFU is a dual combination platform for skin lifting and targeted fat reduction using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology to treat both the face and body.

The highly-focused acoustic energy creates a wound healing response, resulting in the formation of new collagen to lift and tighten the skin. 

The HIFU Body handpiece delivers focused ultrasound waves to a precise depth to cause necrosis of the fat cell – a 24 line matrix of focused energy at a depth of 1.3 and 8mm. This energy increases in temperature as it gets deeper within the skin, due to the energy of the HIFU causing cellular friction. The controlled thermal effect results in the destruction of targeted fat as well as contraction of collagen in the treatment area. Low intensity ultrasound requires multiple treatments, whilst HIFU energy non-invasively destroys targeted subcutaneous fat and delivers uniform results, predictable after a single one hour treatment. 

The 3D-HIFU Face handpiece provides brow lifting, jowl line lifting, nasolabial fold reduction and overall skin tightening and rejuvenation. The highly focused acoustic energy creates thermal coagulation zones at three different selected depths. Following this, a wound healing response results in the formation of SMAS tightening and new collagen, thus providing a longer term tightening of the skin. 

Generally, a noticeable improvement in the patient's facial contouring and fine lines and wrinkles will be visible within a four week period, while further improvement in facial skin tightening and wrinkles will reportedly be seen up to six weeks after treatment. There is no downtime associated with this non-invasive procedure.
