AesthetiCare to host online workshop on menopause and skin

Emepelle distributor AesthetiCare is hosting an online event dedicated to menopause and skin on 16 September. 

"Menopause and the skin – everything you need to know with Dr Emma Wedgeworth and AesthetiCare" will take place at 1pm on 16 September. 

Ahead of menopause awareness month in October, the event has been designed for skin professionals that have clients whose skin is being affected by menopause – 13 million women in the UK are either peri or post-menopause.

Dr Emma Wedgeworth, Harley Street cosmetic dermatologist, and Rebecca O’Brien, business development and training manager at AesthetiCare, will discuss exactly what happens to the skin before, during and after menopause and why women find that their normal anti-ageing skincare routine may not be working as well as it used to.

As a topic that can sometimes be difficult to broach, they’ll also discuss how to openly talk about the menopause with clients, and what the lesser-known symptoms are that they may be experiencing. 

With two thirds of women stating that there is a general lack of support and understanding when it comes to menopause¹, and many uncomfortable talking about menopause in general², the educational and practical webinar will help to tackle the stigma around menopause and open up conversations with your clients. During the webinar attendees will: 

• Learn what happens to skin before, during and after menopause

• Discover how these changes in the skin change the way it responds to skincare 

• Explore how to confidently raise and discuss this with clients 

• Find out what the best approaches are to treating skin affected by menopause
