Dr Askari Townshend launches Collums, the UK’s first practice management software with Square payment integration

Dr Askari, owner of multi award-winning clinic ASKINOLOGY, struggled to find software that was simple and intuitive to use and was designed for aesthetic practitioners.
"My old software was difficult to use and complicated - I was spending too much of my time troubleshooting software problems rather than focusing on my patients and business. The only way to get the kind of software I needed was to use my experience and build it myself."
Recruiting the developer behind the Waitrose online shopping website, Dr Askari and his team built Collums over 2.5 years and has been using it in ASKINOLOGY, since January 2021. Dr Nestors Medical Cosmetic Centre is the latest clinic to sign up to the new service.
Collums is the First of its kind in the UK to partner with Square payments. A wireless card terminal accepts all cards and Apple/Google Pay removing the need for daily reconciliation. Card details are saved at the time of booking to protect from no-shows and enabling customers to pay without having their card present.
As technology has evolved, existing software has become ever more complex to use.
"I've designed Collums with a focus on simplicity - user journeys are quick and intuitive reducing the cost and time of training and user errors. It means that practitioners can get back to ding what they do best looking after their patients" says Dr Askari.
