Lumenis Cares Foundation and Dr Tapan Patel donate £28,000 to children's charity

The cheque for £28,000, that was raised at the Lumenis Cares Summer Dinner fundraiser that took place in the Tapestry Room at The Ned in July 2022, was presented by Lumenis UK country manager Andrew Greenwell, marketing specialist Teri Bacci and Dr Tapan Patel, who generously matched fundraising on the night to reach the total amount.
The trio presented the cheque to the chairman of trustees Princess Marina Lobanov Rostovsky and trustee Alison Tweddle of Children’s Burns Trust, who were delighted with the donation.
“Fundraising is the lifeblood of all small charities, and like many others, we have had a tumultuous few years, in terms of raising vital income following the pandemic," said Rostovsky.
"The incredible energy, dedication and generosity from Lumenis, as well as the overwhelming gesture from Dr Tapan Patel to match funds is so appreciated. The incredible amount of money raised on the night will allow us to continue providing rehabilitation support for burned and scalded children, as well as supporting our prevention and awareness campaigns for which there is little or no national funding”.
Greenwell added: “We’re thrilled to have been able to have raised such an incredible sum for Children’s Burns Trust. We’re extremely grateful for the support of our wonderful sponsors Dermaroller and XCELLARISPRO, and also to Dr Tapan Patel whose very generous donation will make a huge difference to the work of Children’s Burns Trust and the valuable work they carry out with children and their families.”
The Lumenis Cares Foundation was founded in 2019 by Laure Boisseux, Lumenis Associate Director of Marketing | Aesthetic EMEA. Its mission is to support projects dedicated to nurturing independence, and physical and environmental well-being in various fields, including healthcare, education, employment and equal opportunities through charitable sponsorship and activities.
The Children’s Burns Trust is dedicated to providing rehabilitation support for burned and scalded injured children and their families, as well as prevention and awareness campaigns for which there is little or no national funding.
