Merz Aesthetics announces three new Merz Innovation Partners
Dr Chris Hutton, Dr Dev Patel and Dr Max Malik have been named Merz Innovation Partners (MIPs), Merz Aesthetics’ group of clinical educators and ambassadors.
Each will have their own specialist role as part of the MIP educational team.
Made up of experienced trainers and well-respected healthcare professionals, the MIP community delivers a wide variety of medical education across the full Merz product portfolio and other specialist subjects in the field of aesthetic medicine.
The MIP team has been integral to the success and expansion of the Merz educational programme, and Merz has further exciting developments ahead as a new tier, Merz Associates, is due to be unveiled in the coming months.
Dr Chris Hutton MB BCH BAO (QUB) is medical director of Array Aesthetics in Belfast. Dr Hutton completed his undergraduate medical training at Queen's University Belfast before pursuing postgraduate education in Aesthetic Medicine at Queen Mary University, London. He has honed his skills alongside some of the most well-known injectors in the UK and Ireland over the last 10 years. As well as his clinic business, Dr Hutton runs a busy training academy to support the professional development of aesthetic practitioners in Northern Ireland, with plans to extend in more locations.
Dr Dev Patel BSc(Hons), MB BS, Dip IMC RCS(Ed), DFFP, DPDerm, MRCGP, DOccMed is medical director of Perfect Skin Solutions in Southsea and founder of clinical skincare brand CellDerma. Having previously served in the Royal Navy as a Medical Officer and latterly as a GP with a special interest in dermatology, Dr Patel is now an educator and trainer, having been invited to train medics in Canada, the US, China, Norway, Australia and Brazil, and is a regular speaker at global conferences. Dr Patel splits his time between his clinic and training facility, Perfect Skin Academy.
Dr Max Malik MB CHB, PG Dip Derm, MBCAM, MRCPsych is acknowledged as an expert aesthetic doctor, dermatologist and hair restoration surgeon. Dr Malik holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology (Cardiff) and is a full member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS) in the US. He is also a full member of British College of Aesthetic Medicine and a Member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists and a consultant psychiatrist. He works from Knightsbridge and Harley Street, London. Dr Malik writes and publishes regularly on the psychology of aesthetic medicine and is an expert on body dysmorphic disorder in aesthetic medicine. He is an international trainer and educator both in the UK and internationally.
