SAS Aesthetics supports education for girls
In light of the back-to-school season, aesthetics clinic SAS Aesthetics is giving back to aspiring learners with the Campaign for Female Education.
The clinic is committing to the provision of 720 days of education each quarter, which guarantees 16 girls stay in education each year in sub-Saharan Africa.
Dr Mahsa Saleki, medical director and founder of SAS Aesthetics, is channelling her passion to enhance the lives and livelihoods of women in need, much like in her clinic, founded on the principle of patient enhancement and confidence.
“I am proud to support the Campaign for Female Education. CAMFED supports marginalised girls in sub-Saharan Africa to go to school, learn, thrive, and lead change in their communities. At SAS, we are fortunate enough to make people feel good about themselves every day and through this amazing initiative we get to spread that positivity far beyond the clinic and the UK, giving opportunity through education to those that would not otherwise have access to it.”
CAMFED is a pan-African movement, that radically improves girls’ prospects of becoming independent, influential women, by creating a system of accountability to the young people and communities it serves. Its collective efforts have already supported more than 5.5 million children to go to school across Ghana, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, and millions more students have benefited from an improved educational environment across our partner schools.
Becs Brocken, senior manager of corporate relations for CAMFED said: “We are truly grateful to Mahsa and SAS Aesthetics for choosing to invest in CAMFED. Together we can ensure more marginalised girls across sub-Saharan Africa are seen, heard, and supported through school to achieve their full potential. The support is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when forward-thinking female entrepreneurs decide to do business differently.”
