Are you taking advantage of one of the most influential online tools? If not, allow me to introduce you to the amazing benefits of advertising your business through Instagram.
Instagram has more than 1.16 billion members and over 90% of Instagram users follow at least one business. This tells us that if your business is not yet on Instagram, you are not maximising your customer reach.
Just before you decide to dive into the world of Instagram for Business, there are some important factors to consider that will increase your chances of attracting many new customers:
- Instagram separates business and personal accounts, therefore allowing for higher business promotional efficiency. So, my first piece of advice is that if you want to use your personal account for business, because you have already built a network of followers, then you should consider converting it to a business account.
- Let your bio make an impression. This is an opportunity to use around 150 words to get the attention of customers. Your bio goes a long way since it is your first point of contact before establishing an online conversation with customers. You should include your contact information such as your username, website, a clickable link and a call to action.
- Create content that catches the attention of would-be customers to up your views and engagement. Quotes, text-based images, reels and hashtags are great for this. It is also beneficial to establish your brand through using a consistent colour scheme and font that people can associate with your brand.
- Always engage your followers on Instagram. Spend some time on your comment section; as you are attracting new customers, you don’t want to lose the older ones by not engaging with them. Regularly post content that makes them participate in the comment section and take the time to respond to these comments and let them know you are there, so they feel fully appreciated and truly connected.
- Don’t forget to post more personal content every once in a while – this keeps your followers up to date and helps them feel like they know you and your brand.
- Finally, understand the best time to post content by using analytics. Find out what time people prefer to access your page and post just before that time. This way, you will fully benefit from their comments and feedback.
If you feel it is time to open your new Instagram account and manage it in a professional way, I would be more than happy to help you with the ins and outs of Instagram management. Let’s create some powerful moments for your Instagram!
