ThermiRF to be launched this month

Triangle Surgical has announced the UK launch of the ThermiRF multi-platform technology: the first FDA-approved device which combines precision temperature control with advanced real-time temperature monitoring for effective, long-lasting skin tightening.  

Thermi uses the science of heat to deliver a variety of aesthetic treatments - including wrinkle reduction, skin tightening, face and neck lifting, excessive sweating and even vaginal rejuvenation. The LINIA Skin Clinic on Harley Street will be the UK hub for Thermi – acting as a Centre of Excellence for physician training and development of the technology across the multiple clinical indications.

ThermiRF is the first device to provide simultaneous dual monitoring of internal and external tissue temperature using a temperature sensitive treatment probe, alongside advanced infrared imaging. The thermistor probe is inserted under the skin to heat subdermal tissues to a specified temperature; the internal temperature is monitored and regulated by the computer system, while advanced infrared imaging provides real-time guidance for practitioners, ensuring safety and precision of the heating effect and delivery of optimal results in a single treatment. By using temperature as a clinical endpoint, ThermiRF can be injected sub-dermally to achieve various effects, including skin smoothing (42˚C), shrinking of fibrous septae (55-65˚C), fat melting (70˚C) and disabling nerves (85˚C).
