Top Cosmetic Surgeons to Lecture at FEN Congress
Some of the world’s top cosmetic surgeons will be showcasing their techniques and sharing their experience at the Face Eyes & Nose Congress (FEN) next month.
The event, which takes place on May 13-17, is hosted by University Hospitals Coventry and Warwick- shire NHS Trust and is supported by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the two major UK aesthetic surgery professional bodies. It is also supported by the UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS). Now in its fifth year, the FEN Congress is recognised as one of the best courses in Europe for facial aesthetic surgery and rhinoplasty. The five-day programme offers delegates a window on to the latest techniques, ranging from non and minimally invasive surgical facial aesthetics and surgical and non- surgical rhinoplasty, through to facial burns aesthetic reconstruction and face transplants.
As well as top UK specialists, the FEN Congress has also attracted international experts, who are recognised as world leaders in their field. They include American Michael Yaremchuk, Harvard professor of plastic surgery, recognised as the world’s top expert in facial surgery implants for beauty; Jay Calvert from Beverly Hills, USA, a world expert on rhinoplasty; Hossam Foda from Egypt, the leading expert on revision rhinoplasty; Enrico Robotti of Italy, who has a global reputation for rhinoplasty; and Tom Biggs of Houston, USA, Michael Pfulg of Switzerland and Stefano Bruchi of Italy, who are recognised world leaders in facelift techniques.
BAAPS president Michael Cadier said, “This is a real global gathering of best practice. Undoubtedly, it’s the best aesthetics surgery course in the UK at the current time. It brings together a host of masters in the aesthetic surgery field to provide amongst the best educational opportunities here.”
Course director Rana Das-Gupta, consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Warwickshire NHS Trust (pictured) said, “Here in the heart of England, we have assembled some of the leading surgeons and practitioners in their field. Over the five days, delegates will be able to hear lectures from the likes of Tom Biggs who will take us on a journey through 53 years of aesthetic facial surgery and Michael Yaremchuk on the use of implants in facial aesthetic surgery. As well as the technical overview and insight, we will also focus on how professionals in all areas of the industry can build their business.”
