Research by Flawless.org has found that “Botox” is the most popular cosmetic-procedure related search term in eight out of 11 Western countries with the highest populations, including the UK.
Meanwhile, “abdominoplasty” is the least-searched procedure among Brits.
Researchers looked at the monthly Google search volumes for invasive and non-invasive procedures in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Germany, France, Poland and Brazil.
Other interesting findings include:
- Brits Google “Brazilian butt lift” (BBL) nearly 50% more than “breast enlargement”
- Those in English-speaking countries search for “breast reduction” more than “breast enlargement”
- Toxin is also the most searched-for procedure in the US, Canada, Spain, Germany, France and Poland
- “Hair transplant” is the second most searched for in the UK and among the top five most searched for in seven of the countries analysed but has very low search volumes in Mediterranean countries, and the lowest searches in Mexico and Brazil.
Austrian medical aesthetics company Croma Pharma recently submitted its toxin for EU approval.
