5 Squirrels introduces GlycoAla

GlycoAla5 Squirrels and Alamed technologies UK have joined forces to introduce GlycoAla to the UK and Ireland.

The new partnership will allow healthcare practitioners (HCPs) working in medical aesthetics to gain competence in photodynamic therapy treatment with training provided by Dr Robin Stones and Jan Birch along with the commercial and business support of 5 Squirrels.

GlycoAla claims to address many of the previous issues reported with phototherapy (PT) devices, such as poor patient tolerance, pain, long incubation times and high levels of downtime and to help HCPs maximise the benefits of using these devices.

GlycoAla is a photodynamic gel that includes hyaluronic acid and utiliises an advanced glycosphere nanoparticle delivery system for superior stability, absorption, and results.

Its photodynamic ingredient is encapsulated in glycosphere nanoparticles, which enables enhanced penetration into the skin to help improve skin tone, reduce visible signs of sun damage and ageing, minimize pore size, promote hydration and improve the effects of moisture retention.

Gary Conroy, Founding Director at 5 Squirrels, said, “This really is a game changing product. I have been working in PDT for the past decade and have often been frustrated that the benefits of this technology have never been widely adopted due to the complicated legacy protocols. GlycoALA changes all of that, it is a great fit with Your Signature Range to finally deliver truly remarkeable outcomes, I am really excited about this partnership.”

Dr Robins Stones added, “We are delighted to be working with 5 Squirrels to see how HCP’s can maximise the benefits of their existing phototherapy devices with this new exciting and novel technology to improve patient outcomes’
