If you are interested in hair restoration, then come and join us at BAHRS conference at Aesthetic Medicine Live 2025. Aesthetic Medicine is thrilled to be collaborating with the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery for its annual conference, which will take place on Saturday, May 10 at Aesthetic Medicine London, Olympia London.

The BAHRS was founded in 1996 by 12 like-minded surgeons doing hair transplant surgery in the UK. It is a non-profit group of professionals working in the British Isles who are interested in hair loss, hair restoration, including hair transplant surgery, hair research and education, and hair simulation by scalp micropigmentation.

BAHRS has scheduled a Saturday event which covers the amazing breadth of the hair restoration speciality. With internationally renowned speakers from the world of hair transplant surgery, trichology, plastic surgery and scalp micropigmentation.

The key objectives of this conference are: to raise awareness and the reputation of hair restoration surgery in the UK and Ireland. To encourage members, other practitioners, and other professional organisations to share knowledge about hair restoration surgery. To raise the level of competence, behaviour, and ethics in all aspects of the professional practice of hair restoration surgery, as well as to encourage education in relevant skills. 

The conference will start at 09:30 am on Saturday, May 10, with a session titled "Investigating hair loss". This will feature sessions on Hair Loss Diagnosis Algorithm, Indications for biopsy in hair loss, Trichoscopy, Tricholab - Innovative Solutions for hair research, hair diagnostics and hair transplantation surgery. Speakers include Dr Nicola Clayton, Dr Nicole Chiang and Neil Harvey.

We will also have another morning session titled "Promising treatments", which will feature a variety of speakers including Dr Anna Hemming and Dr Bessam Farjo who will be looking at the latest treatment options in hair restoration.

In the afternoon, there will be sessions on "SMP" and "Hair Transplant Clinic Management". These sessions will look at topics including: The role of SMP in repair cases, Advancements in pigment and delivery with SMP, 2 person set up in HTS and CQC New Inspection Framework: a hair transplant practice perspective. We are pleased to be joined by Chloe Heyworth, Dawn Forshaw, Emma Furlong, Aikaterina Alimperti,  Mark Smith, Jessica Cross and others for these two sessions.

On Friday 9 May there will be the Aesthetic Medicine Awards 2025 featuring a category for Best Hair Restoration Clinic or Practitioner. Tickets are available to be purchased here.
