The British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN) has announced team changes and updates to its board of directors, appointing Gareth Lewis as BAMAN CEO and Anna Baker as BAMAN vice chair.
BAMAN leadership team update: new CEO and key operational roles
After a decade at BAMAN, Gareth Lewis has been appointed CEO, moving away from his role of chief operating officer.
Gareth shared, “I’m proud to be stepping into the role of CEO at BAMAN.
“BAMAN plays a vital role in supporting, representing, and advocating for medical aesthetic nurses across the UK, and it’s a privilege to lead the organisation at such an important time.
“My focus is on continuing to strengthen the value we deliver for our members, supporting high standards in the profession, and working closely with our Board of Directors and BAMAN Head Office to ensure BAMAN remains a trusted and influential voice within the sector, and brings medical aesthetic nurses together.”
Joining this transition, former member relations manager Abi Geran, will move into the role of head of operations. Abi will oversee BAMAN’s Regional Leader network and operational delivery, and will take on the position of company secretary later this year.
Bec Coleman will become head of brand, leading BAMAN’s marketing, design, and branding strategy while managing the growing marketing team.
BAMAN is also expanding its administrative team, after a year of strong growth, with the focus on developing and evolving its membership services in 2026 and beyond.

BAMAN has also announced updates to its board of directors.
Aesthetic nurse, Anna Baker has been appointed BAMAN vice chair, after over a decade of membership in the BAMAN community, and chair of the education and training committee.
"I am truly honoured to step into the role of Vice Chair at BAMAN, shares Anna. “This is an organisation I care deeply about, and l am fully committed to supporting our members and strengthening our community.
“My focus is on bringing our members together, creating meaningful connections, and ensuring everyone feels supported, valued, and inspired. Education sits at the heart of everything we do, and l am passionate about continuing to develop opportunities that empower nurses to grow with confidence and excellence.
“Together, we will continue to elevate standards, share knowledge, and build an even stronger, more connected BAMAN."
Anna is a passionate advocate for education, raising standards and nurses voices, working across exciting projects, supporting BAMAN throughout its next chapter.
BAMAN also took to Instagram to announce the latest additions to the BAMAN board of directors.
Welcoming a number of new BAMAN nurses, bringing a wealth of experience, insight, and a shared commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards.
This announcement appointed Julie Brackenbury, Helen Blanchard and Kelly Saynor as co-opted company directors – who will be formally approved at the upcoming annual general meeting.
BAMAN has also appointed two new non executive directors, Emma Wedgwood and Fiona Wondergem
Alongside BAMAN Company Directors Amanda Demosthenous, Amy Bird, and Anna Baker, these nurses represent a blend of clinical expertise, business insight, education, and strategic leadership.
The updated board of directors will come together on Tuesday 21 April to discuss the strategy and direction of BAMAN, looking to build momentum in 2026 and beyond.
