New vitamin A product from Medik8

Crystal Retinal is Medik8’s latest vitamin A launch, developed through clinical research and testing with scientists at the University of Hertfordshire.

Formulated with retinaldehyde, a super-charged derivative of vitamin A, Crystal Retinal works in synergy with the skin’s natural mechanisms to enhance collagen production and speed up cellular turnover. 

The night serum-cream claims to deliver results comparable to clinical-grade vitamin A but works up to 11 times faster than classic forms of retinol, the brand claims. 

Its patented time-release delivery system encapsulates retinaldehyde in a crystal molecular vehicle that is broken down by the skin’s natural enzymes upon contact. This controls the release of the active to ensure that the formula remains stable, absorption is optimised and the highly-potent formula is distributed evenly and constantly throughout the night.

The product is available in two strengths containing 0.06% and 0.10% retinaldehyde.
