Silgel reduces appearance of scars

GC Aesthetics has launched Silgel, a scar treatment gel. Designed to reduce the signs of scars caused by surgery, bites, injury and C-sections, Silgel works by creating a barrier on the skin that helps retain moisture and encourages the skin’s natural healing process. Effective in 8-12 weeks, the silicone gel is used to treat both keloidal and hypertrophic scars, as well as reducing redness of the skin and relieving itchiness. With an easy application and fast drying, the clear formula has been used in surgery aftercare for over a decade to speed up the healing process and reduce the size and colour of the surgical scar.
