The British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) has announced the launch of its newly updated mission statement, reflecting the organisation’s continued dedication to excellence, integrity, and patient safety in aesthetic medicine.

Their new mission statement reads:

“Empowering clinicians. Elevating standards. Protecting patients.”

The new statement underscores BCAM’s commitment to supporting medical professionals, driving the highest standards of practice, and safeguarding the well-being of patients across the UK.

"Our refreshed mission statement captures the essence of who we are today and where we are heading as a professional body, it reaffirms our promise to champion clinical excellence, raise industry benchmarks, and place patient safety at the heart of everything we do,” said The Board of Trustees at BCAM. 

Founded in 2001, the BCAM represents doctors and dentists practising aesthetic medicine, providing professional support, education, and advocacy for its members while promoting public confidence in the sector.

BCAM is the UK’s leading representative body for doctors and dentists practising aesthetic medicine. The charity aims to promote safe, effective and ethical treatment for patients and clinicians through leadership, education, support and professional development.
