BAAPS welcomes council representative for Scotland

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) has announced the appointment of Mr Alastair Graeme Lowrie, consultant plastic surgeon, as honorary BAAPS council representative for Scotland.

Mr Lowrie's illustrious career is underlined by his commitment to patient safety and ethical practice. He firmly advocates for the regulation and proper training of surgeons performing cosmetic surgeries, believing it to be paramount in safeguarding patients' well-being.

He says, “I'm delighted to have been appointed as the honorary BAAPS council representative for Scotland. I've been a member of BAAPS for around 10 years and share its aim of promoting excellence in aesthetic surgery. BAAPS is working for patients in key areas like cosmetic tourism and safety. By helping to raise BAAPS profile, provide education and information and increase membership in Scotland, I hope to help Scottish patients and colleagues."

As a fully accredited plastic surgeon on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register for plastic surgery, Mr Lowrie brings a wealth of expertise and a steadfast dedication to his new role as the Scottish Representative of BAAPS. His appointment underscores BAAPS' commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery.
