Medik8 launches reformulated facial Physical Sunscreen SPF 30

Medik8 Physical Sunscreen Medik8 has completely reformulated its facial Physical Sunscreen SPF 30, just in time for summer. The broad-spectrum SPF 30 is formulated without nanoparticles and now contains anti-infrared, anti-pollution and anti-glycation properties.

The fast-absorbing cream is light enough for everyday use and strong enough to defend against all signs of photo-ageing. The formula uses a photostable blend of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These all-natural, physical filters work by reflecting the sun’s radiation away from the skin, much like a mirror. In addition, this innovative sunscreen features three advanced technologies that further enhance the skin's defence against environmental damage, as well as providing first-rate anti-ageing benefits.

Anti-infrared technology – Infrared is particularly dangerous. It makes up more than half of the harmful rays emitted by the sun and has the ability to bypass the epidermis and induce free radical damage in the lower levels of the skin. Physical Sunscreen shields the skin from infrared radiation.

Anti-glycation technology – Glycation is a natural ageing process caused by internal physiological factors. It occurs when excess sugar molecules bind themselves with collagen and elastin fibres to form advanced glycation end products (A.G.E.s). As a result, the glycated fibres can no longer be renewed, leading to fine lines and wrinkles. Fortified with next-generation anti-glycation technology, Physical Sunscreen has been clinically-proven to inhibit the formulation of A.G.E.s and also breaks down those that have already been formed in the skin.

Anti-pollution technology - Environmental aggressors such as cigarette smoke and exhaust fumes can be detrimental to our complexion. Not only do they accelerate free radical damage, causing redness and irritation. Physical Sunscreen creates and urban shield on the surface of the skin to prevent the absorption of harmful, airborne particles. Apply every morning, after your regular moisturiser to face, neck and décolletage. Reapply during the day for maximum protection.
