Aesthetic Medicine North brought the industry to Manchester: here are the highlights

Published 29th Sep 2024 by Anna Dobbie

Aesthetic Medicine North welcomed 982 aesthetic professionals to Manchester Central Convention Complex for a packed agenda of trends, launches, education and networking.

More than 50 brands were on the show floor this year marking Aesthetic Medicine North 2024 to be our largest North exhibition yet, giving visitors a first look at the latest devices and products and offering deals that are only accessible during the two days of the show,

Once again, the show ran alongside Professional Beauty North, bringing aesthetics and beauty together under one roof, with a total of 9,477 visitors coming to see the latest trends and innovations.

What were the main highlights of the Manchester show?

Aesthetic Medicine North 2024 saw industry professionals from around the world gather to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the field of aesthetic medicine.

The one-day injectables masterclass programme on Sunday September 29 in the medic-only AM Clinical room featured talks and demonstrations from international KOLs on subjects including approaches to lip enhancement, injection techniques and innovations, regenerative aesthetics and treating mature patients.

"It's brilliant to have educational aesthetic events in the North of England," said nurse practitioner Tracey Dennison. "A lot of the time we see this down South, but it's great to bring an event like this to the North. It's so important to attend these events as we make some key contacts and a lot of friends here. However, the main part is the educational side. Attendees get CPD accreditation for watching sessions. We've got a really full agenda on all of the stages. As clinicians, we need to keep ahead of the curve and understand what is going on, what is upcoming, what's out there, what the benefits and the risks are."

Doing business

The Business and Digital Skills stage featured talks on franchising and making your clinic a safe space, and the Skin and Advanced Treatment agenda focused on transformative beauty, targeting hyperpigmentation, layering technologies to increase patient spending and combination protocols.

"It was great listening to Caroline Hall talk about polynucleotides and combining them with growth ampules," said Quirky Frog co-founder Lianne Sykes. "Coming here is useful because we get to see people who travel outside of London and come to the Northern conferences. I get to network and reconnect with industry friends and also see what announcements are being made and what new products are coming, as well as listen to really insightful talks."

Meet and greet

The exhibition hall was bustling with activity as attendees had the chance to explore the latest products and services from leading brands in the field.

"It's been fantastic to connect with practitioners from Manchester, Leeds and all of the surrounding areas that you might not normally connect with at conferences in London or elsewhere in the country," commented Vivacy UK marketing manager Madeleine Farrant. "It's been great to connect with some of our customers, our head office is in London so we don't always get to come up and it's been a great opportunity to see everyone there.

Overall, Aesthetic Medicine North 2024 was a successful and informative event, providing attendees with valuable insights and networking opportunities to help them stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving field of aesthetic medicine.
